I take it you won't be attending the rally? I understand people are scared, angry, etc. but it's not like that extra .40 is going into Corbus's bank account. Everyone will be paying for what they use. I read my meter and our use has dropped in half so while I still am going to have a big bill it won't be $1000 like it could have been.
Forgot to mention that we certainly didn't have it in the budget to pay the extra $$ and we don't qualify for the handouts - we just have to figure it out. Once I told the kids if they didn't conserve I was shutting off the cable and internet I got the point across.

Those evil corporations are gonna get you......after all we all know that AEL&P intentionally caused the avalanche just so they could screw the everyday citizens of Juneau. Wait, isn't that SEACC's corner of the market (screwing the every day citizens of Juneau and Southeast)? Maybe that's why you are so pissy.
You know, there have been alot of comments about how much profit that AEL&P makes, if you talk to most businesses, they operate with similar profit margins, and these are the same businesses that contribute lots of $$$ to local youth activities, arts, food banks, and other non-profits. Who do they think this money would come from?

I think the threats made to AELP's employees is pretty whacked out...talked to one of them yesterday and they have hired a security guard out there, sounds like LA instead of JUNEAU.
I think the SEACC office is the one that needs a guard, look at the untold millions that they have cost this town...stopping the AJ mine, more studies wasted on the Kensington, you name it, they have done way more damage to our economy than this three month blip on our power bills...we need to give SEACC the frigging boot.

I see the Rag has their poster child, Andrea on the front page reliving her college days protesting the demise of the lemmings or some other such issue of her day...if she and our delegation got more than 3% of the capitol budget projects doled out this last session she might be taken seriously, but that is not the case folks...Juneau got 3% and our three reps are pounding their chests weekly bragging about how Juneau came out great???
